The Autumn colors of Oak Creek near Sedona Arizona have never disappointed me. The oak trees and plants turn beautiful colors and the water with a long exposure can look fantastic. I took this just after a light sprinkle which helped to saturate some of the colors and darken the tree bark both of which add contrast.
For this shot I wanted to smooth the movement of the water so I needed a long exposure. To help achieve that I used an ND filter and a soft edge GND filter dropping the sky about 4 stops and the rest of the frame 2-4 .I also wanted to capture as much of the frame as possible so I used my wide angle lens
Filters: 2stop ND 2 Stop SE GND
